The Alonzo Studio of Music offers private, one-on-one lessons at a comfortable in-home studio in Surprise, AZ, as well as online video lessons. Individual attention is given to each student in a clean and quiet atmosphere, with a friendly and positive environment. Combining traditional Conservatory Methods with the Suzuki Method, a thorough grounding in all aspects of technique, musicianship, and repertoire are presented to each student. There are no registration fees or contracts to sign.
Insights and experiences from live performances and recording sessions are used to further teach and inspire students. To help deliver a more complete musical education, all students are encouraged to participate in annual performance recitals, perform at school or community events, and attend live performances of fellow musicians.
The Alonzo Studio of Music is currently accepting students from all skill levels, beginning to advanced, and all age groups 7 years and above.
Former students have received numerous scholarships and awards to major performance conservatories and universities, including: Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Chapman University, California Institute of the Arts, Berklee College of Music, University of Southern California, University of Michigan, Pepperdine University, Haverford College, Brown University, Wake Forest University, and more. Several have participated in the Interlochen Center for the Arts Summer Music Program, and the Great Viola workout in Crested Butte, Colorado. In addition to playing with major symphonies around the world, some students have toured with major artists such as Adele, Beyoncé, Elton John, Celine Dion, Kanye West and perform annually at the Grammys, Oscars and Country Music Awards. Some former students can be seen as part of the Vitamin String Quartet, and some can be seen on the silver screen as performers in major motion pictures.
